Ward Boundary Changes

Polling Location Change

Following the 2020 decennial census, the City of Pella's ward boundaries were adjusted to ensure equivalent populations per ward. As a result, those residing within the census blocks identified on the map below have changed which ward they are located in.

What does this mean to you?

  • Those residing within the census blocks identified on the map below will vote at a different polling location.
  • New voter registration cards will be mailed to all registered voters in late May. Make sure to take note of your polling location on this card, or view the updated ward and polling location map at
  • The Pella City Council is comprised of six members: two elected at-large and four elected by ward (one member representing each of the four wards). Those residing within the census blocks who experienced ward changes will also have a new City Council ward representative.
