From Sunday, April 8 through Saturday, April 14, the library will accept non-perishable food items in exchange for overdue fines. Each food item donated to the  library will be given to the Food Shelf.

One food item will equal up to $1.00 in fines.  Two food items equal $2.00, and so on.You may exchange a maximum of $10.00 during the week.
This program does not affect charges assessed for lost/damaged materials or recovery fees.

Some acceptable non-perishable food items include: cereal, crackers, beans, soups, canned meats, canned juices,  peanut butter, applesauce, and any canned fruits or vegetables. Donated items must be within their “best by” or “use by” dates.

You don’t have to have a fine to donate.  Dig into your cupboard to help  those in need!
