The Hmong have been our neighbors in Pella for over thirty years, and we want to pay a tribute to them. During the month of November, the Pella Public Library will host an exhibit of some of the Hmong artwork in local collections. This can be viewed in the library’s display cases during normal opening hours. On Saturday morning November 2 at 10:30 a.m., there will be a special program in the Library to which all community members, and especially our Hmong neighbors, are invited.
Members of Pella’s Hmong community are encouraged to come and share their personal experiences about coming to America, and the memories associated with the artwork.
Please come to view, and to participate in the special program.
