Hydrant Flushing

Fire Hydrant Flushing

During the week of October 2 to 6, our water distribution system will be flushed for preventative maintenance and to better circulate water in the system.

Flushing is accomplished by opening fire hydrants around town in a particular order.

In early 2022, the Mayor and City Council appointed an ad hoc Indoor Recreation Center Committee. This group worked closely with the city's architect, Shive-Hattery, on the planning and design of a new recreational facility for the City of Pella.
