Community Services
Services
The Community Services Department is comprised of Parks, Aquatics and Recreation & Art programming.
Recreation & Art
The City of Pella provides many recreation opportunities for youth and adults. Program guides contain information on all available classes and programs.
If you are looking for a recreational opportunity that you do not see offered, feel free to contact us to make a suggestion! We would love to hear from you!
Registration
Each department has its own registration procedure. This information will be published in local publications and handed out at the schools, giving locations, times, dates, and costs. For those programs or classes that have a maximum number of participants, registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Extra names will be added to a waiting list.
Attendance
Attendance is not required for programs sponsored by the Community Services Department. This allows for the kids to participate in other activities that may be scheduled at the same time. Proper courtesy reminds you to call your coach or instructor if a child is going to miss a practice or game.
Lost & Found
If you lost something at the Aquatic Center please check with the office. If you lost something at the Community Center, or in one of the various parks, check the lost and found tote located in the Community Center Gym at 712 Union. Pella Sports Park and Soccer complex lost and found items are kept on site. If staff is not available please call 641.628.4571 with a description of the item.
